I need help with installation!

I need help please, Every time I install the mod I always get this error:

"Error opening file for writing:

I've tried this with the 1.8 version and 2.10 multiple times, can anyone help me?

First of all, you are installing it in the wrong place... unless your Steam folder is really there :-\.

Usually that means problem with the folder rights to write on it. You can change the ownership of the folder if you like and you would have that issue gone.

My Steam folder is there for reasons I will not explain.
You say i need to change the rights to that folder, yes? How do I do that?
