is there a way to play EF with vanilla coh1

ive installed coh out of the original box i bought way back when it first came out,so what i want to know is can i play EF on the vanilla game,
ive tried a few time but it just wont start yes ive given admin to it lol
any help would be great,

As long as you have patched CoH up to 2.602(or unless you are playing vanilla CoH on Steam) it will work.

ive tried the new patch on steam coh all i get is coh asking for disk even though ive tried vanilla disc/the anthology disc, steam coh works just not EF ON STEAM,

as for the vanilla coh i updated to 2.6.1 same again asking for disc,
we have 5 copies of coh in our house 2 vanilla/1 opposing fronts/ 2 anthology ,both myself & my son play over our network but we cant get EF to work played it for years now nothing lol

Hm, for me it works to put in the Opposing Fronts disc when the 2.602 steam version game asks for it. I'd suggest you try to start with it.
Also, if launching with the EF launcher does not work you can try something else:

Go to your steam game library, and choose "properties" on Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor"
Then you click on "starting parameters" and add these lines:

-dev -mod Eastern_Front -nomovies

Also double check if a "Eastern_Front" folder exists inside your main CoH: Tales of Valor folder.

ahhhhhhhh ive had enough, they have killed my fav game this is a feckin joke,

played day of defeat for years then steam killed it
played red orchestra for years then steam updates & yes you got it ,killed it
