Итак ставим на свой COH мод Eastern Front 1.7 и патчим до [IP address redacted] после заходим в папку с игрой и копируем куда-либо файл FactionFix.dll
После чего ставим мод Eastern Front Ostheer 2.210 и закидываем ранее скопированный файл FactionFix.dll в папку с игрой (с заменой), все теперь можно играть!
Работает стабильно но кое что из настроек армии не доступно, в прочем это не так важно.

Socond that. I'm not very skilled in computer use, I know the basics and that's about it. What makes it even worse is, I run Win8, and the placing of the game and folders is not similar to other versions of win.

I hope for a very simple fix. Download a patch, install, run. Not changing name on folders and files or anything like that - simply because I can't manage it.

am i missing something here? the factionfix.dll is different from the one with later versions of the mod?,
not sure i would call a simple fix, uninstall mod, reinstall old one, copy file, reinstall new mod, replace file.
fairly easy for someone with knowledge of pc file system but average gamer uuumm. why not just put the reqd dll on here for download save people all the install/uninstall hassle?

We don't do this because we do not support older versions :( (right now). If you do it, it is up to you how to achieve it(whether you install/copy/uninstall it or do a different thing)... however, this knowledge presented on the topic itself is crucial, the rest is child's play.

Sorry Guys, I downloaded 1.7, installed it on a new COH installation, patched until [IP address redacted], copied faction.dll from [IP address redacted] to my "old" 2.XXX version COH, replaced faction.dll inside the game folder, still doesnt work. nothing changed. Whats wrong?

The old version is only compatible with 2.602 not with 2.XXX. The latter implies that is compatible with any version that starts with "2".

yeah I think thats the reason. In my desperation I missed my COH version is of course 2.7 - so I assume I wont work. But cause Im using steam, I cant have n lower version at the moment. I think Ill have to wait for the patch... *sad*

actually you should be able to still download normal tales of Valor from steam if you activated your game keys there. You just can't play online with that 2.602 version unless you use tunngle.

Hi, I tried setting up the Eastern Front mod with the old company of heroes version, but every time I launch the game with the launcher it takes me to a screen that says "cannot verify media".  When it is loading this page it shows the Eastern Front loading screen, but then it turns into the old relic login screen.  This only happens when I launch the mod though, so I know I set something up wrong. I just can't figure out what it is. Any ideas?  ???

Update: Nevermind, I figured it out.  Instead of using the launcher, I had to set up the launch options as -mod Eastern_Front -dev. ;D
