_"[email redacted]" not found in DLL luaconfig.dll

dear friends

i play the german version of eastern front (latest updates installed)

if i start vanilla COH everything runs without problems

when i start EF launcher and press play (spielen) then following error message appears "_"[email redacted]" not found in DLL luaconfig.dll"

the play starts after i confirm the error message but ingame, my units do not move or lets say i cant send them from here to there. nothing happens


i have re-installed the whole game and whole EF. all patches new installed

same BS....

any suggestions?

additional info: a friend of mine just wanted to start....same error! units dont move anymore when ingame....

That means you are using an old version of luaconfig.dll. The latest version is always packed with CoH which is provided with Steam... are you trying to run the latest version of EF in the regular CoH instead of the new version? Because it is not going to work, it only works with the new steam version.

everything is installed new, so the lua file should be up to date ?!

any chance of getting this lua file online somewhere? would this help?

The launcher will try  to run it regardless of what version you have, make sure you installed it in Company of Heroes Relaunched directory and not just in Company of Heroes folder. Also, make sure you have installed the Company of Heroes (new Steam version) from the library instead of the regular CoH.

Steam now handles the files, so it updates automatically and if you have an old versionof the file, you can check it by using the "verify integrity of game cache" in the local files tab on the properties of your game.

Btw, just heard that this error is caused by the new patch too. So, no fix for it atm.
