Can't update, says Eastern Front isn't installed

Had this problem since the very first time I tried this mod back in 2010....

I downloaded the (FULL) v.2.10 on your MODDB page.

Every time time I open the launcher it ALWAYS says: "Eastern Front Mod does not appear to be installed on your system. Try reinstalling Eastern Front Mod to continue."


Even better. This Steamfriend of mine wanted to play a 2v2 and I agreed. Then I can't see the game. Seems I was two patches outdated....and of course the patches aren't found on your MODDB page....

Have you installed the mod with admin rights? Because that happens when you don't do it.

In the latest news article in MODDB you can find where to get the patches, I guess you didn't catch it. Nonetheless, I suggest to reinstall EF with admin rights so you can use the auto-update feature from the launcher. If you think you already have admin rights, try right clicking the installer and choose "Run as administrator".

Run as Admin did the trick!  Updated and ready now :)

Problem is back...."Eastern Front mod doesn't appear to be installed on your system. Try reinstalling Eastern Front mod to continue".

Only thing I've done is to shut of AUC (Windows security thingie).


I checked EF_Launcher_Log.txt and the last thing it says is "Unable to locate Eastern Front Mod registry".
