OH emplacements

First I want to know just how much defense concrete emplacements and foxholes offer. Are they like slit trenches or just like garrisoning buildings? Also, when you build a concrete emplacement it shows the silhouette of a flak 20mm, is there anyway to upgrade a concrete emplacement to house a weapon like this?

Foxholes and emplacements in default are working like silt trench. It can upgraded to medic tent, but I also wondering how it can be upgraded to flak as seen in the defenses since other doctrines seems to be not available to construct defenses except Army Fortress Strategy.

no Im sorry foxholes do not seem to be equivalent to slit trenches, units indide foxholes can be picked off quite easily where slit trenches make the unit inside near invincible! I wish that was the case though.

That's one of the cases why we didn't really wanted them to be like slit trenches <.<.

Yeah and slit trenches are really gay and really overpowered. An aggressive brit just moves his truck right to your cutoff, slit trenches it, and it's like getting rid of a group of horny roaches from a house. You just won't do it. Be glad they aren't, or nobody would like the Army fortress doc. Well except for the player using it.

Well anyway what makes foxholes or concrete emplacements different from garrisonable buildings or heavy cover in terms of protection? Are they better/worse? What is supposed it incentivize us into using them? Are concrete emplacements similar to Wehr bunkers?

They can be used as a weapon platform if you want to save a team weapon from being captured by the enemy. Also it can be crewed by a mortar and then used as a mortar pit.

But you can't make mortars now so... yeah.

You still can capture enemy mortar(s) ...

That's cool but does that work with the Ostheer Field gun (the name escapes me but it is their mortar equivalent) or is it just captured mortars?

Just a question about the emplacements. I cannot build the flak cannon in them-36mm. Any way i can get them built? It's just that it will add more to an already awsome gaming experience and am just wanting to get that final touch. I like building my defenses first and then attacking if youre wondering why.
