game crashes when i start a game

when i start a skirmish it loads like normal but then when i click start it launches and the map is black and then it freezes and crashes. i have Coh ToV v. 2.602 and the newest update for Eastern front please help!

Eastern Front does not work with the retail version of CoH since 1.800 and it is only compatible with the steam version.

well that pisses me off

the nice thing is though is that i can put my retail key into steam and get the steam version so it still works out

where can i download the patches before this one with ostheer ?

If Ostheer was just released last Saturday the patch 2.700 was released like a month ago... how do you think there is a patch compatible with 2.602 that contains Ostheer?

i told that i need all the patches before ostheer , and i cannot fiind to download them and i don`t fiind a list with them .

i can`t take any patch because this error. i`ve tried so many time, but ...

Well, to begin with you don't need that file if you want to play EF. You need the v[IP address redacted] or the v1.700 installer.

i`ve managed to install the 1.80 patch and when i start the game and see the buildings at start it crashes into desktop .

i don`t have any company of heroes !

Use your product key in steam and you will get then newest version of CoH - 2.700

You need to buy from Steam(or Green Man Gaming or Gamersgate or whatever store you prefer and register it on steam) and then download the new version that appears in your library or if you don't have money you can look in our summary section's comments in ModDB so you can know how to make the 2.602 version playable with the latest version of EF(it should be a bit buried by now).

It patches automatically so you don't need to install anything but the game.
